Let’s go back to 2010, when it all began as three young entrepreneurs, Sheikh Shayer Hassan, Fuad Bin Omar, and Fattahul Alam, came together with a shared vision. And thus, Nascenia was formed from their joint partnership to create an award-winning software development company in Bangladesh.

• eAsia award winner: Asia’s technology event in 2011 awarded both local and international initiatives for the use of Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D).  The company’s product Bdipo was an information hub for IPO in Bangladesh, and won in the category of Driving Economy: Best ICT Initiative Boosting Business Productivity. 
• Red Herring Top 100 Asia finalist: The Red Herring Top 100 Asia is a prestigious award for the most promising and innovative technology companies across the Asian region. Nascenia was shortlisted twice as a finalist in the 2012 selection and just a year later finalist in the 2013 selection out of hundreds of competitors. This is due to the contribution of an excellent team.
• US Department of State Grant: The US State Government presented (won?) a grant.

• Grameen Phone and Microsoft – Alo Asbei award winner: In 2010, Nascenia built a mobile app named “IPO Result Search” and won 3rd place in the competition Alo Ashbei, which Grameenphone and Microsoft jointly organized. 
• BASIS outsourcing award winner: Nascenia’s team has won the Outsourcing award in software for both 2014 and 2015 from BASIS. This award is given to companies and individuals with significant contributions in the sector of outsourced software and IT-enabled services.  
• National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award: The National Productivity Organization (NPO) of the Ministry of Industries awarded Nascenia the National Productivity and Quality Excellence award in 2017. • BASIS: Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services is a national trade body. As a member of BASIS, the company can compete at the local and international levels by utilising the support provided through training programs, international conventions, industry practices, etc. 

International Program

• ITC and CBI – NTF Program: The Netherlands Trust Fund Program is a collaboration between the International Trade Center (ITC) and the Centre for the Promotion of Imports from developing countries (CBI). This project was funded by the Dutch government to strengthen the competitiveness of a wide range of businesses across specific sectors in Bangladesh. Nascenia’s team was selected for the NTF phase III project and participated in communications and B2B matchmaking events, which were designed to enhance the company’s export readiness and branding for the European market.

Projects and Portfolio

Case studies 

• BUP: A customized academic website for the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) was developed by Nascenia. The project was won through a bidding process by beating out other shortlisted companies. The client’s requests were fully met, and the application was rolled out in 5 months’ time. Requirements like uploading PDFs, an attractive UI, a dynamic website, and others were implemented in the customized website development. 
• Ritani: One of America’s finest jewellery companies, renowned for its “clicks and bricks” model that guides customers to design their ring. When they had a sudden staff shortage, Nascneia’s developers stepped in and took part in “Rebrand Lite,” which involved a rebrand of the whole site. Challenges such as backlog grooming, daily scrum, regular maintenance, and post-QA were carried out in collaboration between Ritani and Nascenia.
• My Robi App: An app was developed that resulted in 1 M+ downloads. Robi Axiata Limited approached Nascenia initially to deliver a solution for their outdated app, and later on, also developed Robi Shop. This started the collaboration between Nascenia and Robi that implemented features like OTP authentication, usage history, balance transfer, etc. Thus, My Robi App became an entire lifestyle experience like no other, along with Robi’s partner app My Airtel, which Nascenia also worked on. 
• Simple Signup: A multi-lingual event management site in Sweden that achieved huge success. The client reached out in need of help to improve the site because of numerous issues caused by previous companies and freelancers. As per the client’s requests, the company improved on aspects like upgrading legacy code, maintaining code (Rails and PHP), automated test codes, etc. Due to the exemplary work delivered, the client engaged in a long-term partnership with Nascenia.

• Uddogi: A NBR-approved VAT management software developed by Nascenia that is based on the VAT Act 2012. This software is designed for a wide range of companies, including those in trade, service, or even the manufacturing sector. By using Uddogi, manual efforts like paperwork can be eased by automating tasks. This helps the companies tackle complex VAT management processes and remain compliant.
• Biyeta: An online matrimonial SaaS platform for the Bangladesh market. The goal is to restore simplicity and foster genuine human interactions in the modern age.
